TRAINS, GHOSTS, & BIGFOOT SIGHTINGS!

Hi All! I thought that I would give everyone some ideas about what there is to do in Jefferson, Texas. One attraction is the Historic Jefferson Railway!

You can take a step back in time as the Historic Jefferson Railway takes you on an excursion that circles the Piney Woods along the scenic Big Cypress Bayou. This train is pet-friendly for all you dog lovers, like me. This attraction is open each Saturday with narrated day trains and their infamous evening Ghost Train. There are free ghost stories at the depot before the Ghost Train.

Jefferson is a small town with a population of 2,024. If you've never visited Jefferson, some of the popular attractions are: Jay Goulds's Railroad car, the beautiful Sterne Fountain, Jefferson Carnegie Library, Excelsior House, the House of the Four Seasons, and much more.

The First United Methodist Church at 305 W. Henderson St. was founded in 1844. This is a beautiful country church.

A fun place to shop is The General Store at 113 E. Austin St.

My sister & her family are having a photo moment at The General Store.

While my nephew clowns around. And yes, this is a wig! LOL

They have a cool old fashioned soda fountain!

The Rock Cottage is located near the downtown area. We are perfect for groups, with a relaxed atmosphere that we hope you will enjoy. Call Kathy Duvall @ (903)806-0436 for information and reservations. Come visit Jefferson soon! Thanks, Kathy & Sis (the not so silent partner)
