New sign!

If you plan on opening a Bed & Breakfast, of course you need a great sign. I knew Carol Hodges from The Design Factory would create the perfect sign, and she didn't disappoint.  Here is what the proposed sign will look like. I love it, and the colors match the house so well.

Yesterday we added  secure deadbolt locks to the 7 doors,  and today is furniture moving day. Things are moving along very quickly, and look for more pictures in the coming weeks before we are open for business. Bed & Breakfast, here we come!

The Rock Cottage will soon be an official B & B in Jefferson, Texas. Yes, you heard it here first! LOL. Hopefully, we will be open for business in 4 weeks. My Mom & I are back at it again. In 2 short days we have met with a locksmith to re-key the 7 doors (with 10 or more different keys) into one master key, scheduled a meeting with a web designer, visited the Chamber of Commerce, ordered a custom sign, bought more furniture & beds, and found a designer for the brochures and business cards. Whew! I'm too excited to be tired, and very ready to get this started. We have decided to rent out the entire back part of the house as one unit. This will include a large den & separate daybed area, 2 full bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and bar area with coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator.
