Pink Christmas!

I'm doing something a little different on the blog today, and I'm posting some photos of the home that I live in. I really didn't do much decorating for Christmas at the Rock Cottage, but as you can see I have decked the halls here. LOL. My theme for this year is a Pink Christmas. Pink is my favorite color, and I like the way pink makes me feel. So here goes........
The garland above the front door was hung by Dale Vaughn of A Flower Affair in Jefferson, Texas. I chose the regular & green burlap ribbon, along with a green plaid that gives a French Country look. I would have chosen pink, but Ellis Pottery didn't have any pink burlap. LOL. So I went with the green.

As you come in the front door, the paper tree has a vintage look, and was given to me by my late father, Carl Owens,  around 20 years ago. I love it! My father was always really into Christmas, and it reminds me of him each year when I take it out.

Next, the dining room features a white table from the Rachael Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture collection. The Darcy cane French chairs are also Rachael Ashwell, as is the chandelier. The teacart belonged to my Grandmother, Florence Felker. My mother, Sis Owens, gave me the Desert Rose pottery for my birthday this year, and her wedding china on the table has pink roses which I love.

The tree in the foreground was formerly a dark red. I spray painted it white, and it turned a beautiful sugar plum color!

Next, we'll go to the living room....
The white armoire was shipped all the way from California. The black baby grand was purchased by my parents in the 50's. I have decorated with both high end & low end objects.  I have the Nate Berkus for Target black & white urns and sea urchin,  Missoni for Target tray and media box, Neiman Marcus for Target black tray with shaker & high ball glasses, mixed with a real Missoni throw on sofa.

The angry elf sitting in the chair is my husband getting the bill for the decorations!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! xoxo kathy
